This rig was built to haul. The 6.7L turbodiesel was tuned by GDP and has an EZ-Lynk programmer featuring a "shift-on-the-fly" switch. The tune was a complete EGR, SCR/DPF delete coupled with an aftermarket intake for a major boost to performance, power and fuel economy. This truck has never been driven in the winter although it has been undercoated annually and therefore you notice some in the photos. As for the body it was coated with a 5-year application of ceramic coat. This creates a hydro-phobic coating keeping the vehicle remarkably clean through everyday use.
Underneath this RAM is lifted 6" thanks to a BDS Suspension lift including dual steering stabilizers. Alcoa 22.5" wheels give the truck a big stance and improve the efficiency of the drive; they're also equipped with Centramatic wheel balancers. Further, the Sailun semi-truck tires are new and re-groovable up to four times.
The Mega Cab is engineering you have to see; a great idea as pickup trucks have moved further from regular cabs into large, full-sized cabins with ample legroom for the second row. Dodge took this step on further to add cargo space behind the rear seat. In this case, the seats fold down flat providing a space an adult can lie down.
RAM's Laramie package is loaded with luxury and tech features, from heated and cooled leather seats to premium sound and navigation. In the bed is a liner, topped with a tonneau cover and a cage bed-extender.
Not just a good look, the factory 5th-wheel option in the short bed dually make this machine a towing titan. With 930lb-ft of torque and a 5th-wheel towing capacity of 30,000lbs from the factory, this was the most powerful towing offered in a pickup from the big three in 2018. The Aisin 6-speed automatic transmission does the gearing.
